Italiannies @ Gurney Paragon, Penang.

I've been wanting to try Italiannies since the day it was opened but I only managed to try it like FEW DAYS AGO. But that's okay better late than never right? Based on the name Italiannies it obviously has something to do with Italian food, spaghetti, lasagna, pizza you name it!
Menu

Complimentary toast with olive oil and vinegar, I've never  tasted such combinations before so it was quite a new thing for me. At first I was like "won't oily meh?" and bread with vinegar doesn't seem to mix, but it actually tasted pretty good!

Loving their cozy and quiet environment. The staff were busy decorating to create a Xmas feeling!

How can I not agree to this?! Eating is a very important part of our lives so we.must.not.stop.eating, especially when it comes to great food. Speaking of great food, scroll down and you will see some!

Shrimp & Asparagus Alfredo (shrimps, bacon and asparagus cooked in a creamy parmesan sauce and tosses with fettucine). I did not order my favourite carbonara as I heard that the portion is quite big and I was afraid I couldn't finish it. AND I WAS RIGHT. When it was served in front of me I thought "this definitely worth the price"

This shares some similarities with carbonara as it is quite creamy as well just not as greasy as carbonara. The amount of shrimps and bacon are very generous! Major love <3 The only thing I dislike is the fettucine as I've always been a fan for spaghetti only, so regret for not asking them to change :( But still, the taste was really great and the portion is so big that I could only eat half ._. Their pasta can really be served for 2 servings.

Mom's. Chicken Milanese. (Grilled chicken breast served over cream spinach, then topped with chilled tomato caper relish). Mom's dish was smaller compares to mine because she only ordered Piccolo size, which is for 1 serving only. Both of us liked the sauce, it's like a white sauce and not greasy at all!

And I would like to express my satisfaction towards one of the waiter there, mom actually planned to order another dish but he suggested that the orders would be too much for two of us as the portion is big, thus mom changed her mind to the Chicken Milanese, which is a good choice too. I considered him as a life saver or else my mom and I would be stuffing everything into our mouths.

Tiramisu! I've always have in mind that tiramisu is always served in a very small size, and I'm so happy that Italiannies proved me wrong! My mouth literally went :O when it was served. Not only it is big, it tastes so damn good I had orgasnom lol. The whole thing was really soft, creamy, the melt-in-your-mouth kind. Somehow I don't know why the bottom part was so wet and it spoilt the lowest part, but other than that it was really GOOD, my mon was like "China House out already" haha.

My satisfied face. And sort of crave for more face. Heard my bf said that their lasagna was big and good which makes me wanting them more :(

If you're an Italian food lover, I highly recommend Italiannies! They serve great food with great quantity and quality!

Dao Dao's 1st Birthday Celebration

We actually celebrated her 1st birthday earlier because we had to give her away to another family due to some reasons, yes I'm sad, I miss having her, I miss how she randomly appeared by my side when I was doing my assignments, watching tv, etc, I miss the look on her face when we brought her out, I miss her greedy face asking for face, I miss her everything. Yet, I'm glad that we found a better family for her, more family members to play with with better economy background, better environment, better companion. And so I decided to blog about it today as today is her actual bday!

Before sending her off, my mom and I have brought her to Bone Appetit again to celebrate her 1st birthday as they sell cakes for dogs, you can read my first visit HERE. I'm going to skip all the introduction part as I've already talk about the dogs cafe during my first visit.

What a lucky dog who can enjoy a birthday cake! This picture was taken right before she started to lick off the cream, we couldn't even sing a proper birthday song for her, what you can hear on the spot was "daodao stop! Be careful with the candle! Put the plate far a bit" things like that lol.

This is her licking off the cream, guess she skipped the candle blowing and wish making part.

What a mess, and I was like "Omg her eye, faster wipe!" and mom said happily "Nevermind let her eat first birthday should be like this one ma" lol.

We asked the staff to pack the cake after she had eaten HALF, and this is her playing with another male dog named DouDou, she was shy (or scared) at first but she became friendly afterwards, glad that she had fun.

This is mine from human's menu, so called French Toast, so much different from the one we normally have outside, the square, oily and sweet toast. They use different bread and totally different cooking method with dried cranberries, cereal and nuts, a healthy version of French toast, the taste was not bad. Well, back to the birthday girl.

Me with the birthday girl! Sorry we couldn't celebrate on your actual birthday :( Since you didn't use your birthday wish, I'm gonna use it and I wish you to have a wonderful life ahead!

Birhtday girl with birthday pressie, new bed!

Birthday girl was enjoying her new bed!

Or not, lol.

Last but not least, thank you for coming into my life and brought happiness to me, although you could be very naughty and greedy sometimes, I still love you :)

Bone Appetit Pets Centre, Penang.

Last weekend bf and I along with my dog went to Bone Appetit Pets Centre, if you haven't heard of it, it's a cafe for dogs! But I once saw a photo of rabbit on their Facebook page HERE . So far I think this is the only cafe in Penang that is specially for dogs, but don't worry they have human's menu too! Lets check it out, be prepared to witness a very cute dog and two humans :D
We actually sent her for basic grooming first before going to Bone Appetit, Dao Dao (DD) behind bb's car

OTW to Bone Appetit, both of them are so adorable I can melt watching them together

This is it! I bet DD was very happy to be here as this is her first visit! It is located near Piknik, you can either obtain its address from their fb or scroll down!

DD was pretty nervous by the time she got in here cause there was another female dog named Pepper who was really friendly, and she rarely make any dog friends lol.

And this is the human's menu. You have to order at the counter for the dog's food.

I've ordered three doughnuts since DD hasn't take her lunch. Take note that the staffs do not add in sugar or oil in the food so it is safe for dogs. Now it's time for more fluffiness!

DD's signature greedy face "I smell food!"

"Are you sure they're all MINE?" haha she is just so cute I love her more and more every day

Bb was training DD. "Sit, Stay, Wait! Be good then I'll feed you" ahahahaha

Bb's naughty act when dd was paying attention to Pepper

When your bf loves what you love :)

The pictures above are my fav! Laughed so hard at DD's posture

Non stop feeding, forgot to mention that we ordered smoothies with banana and mixberries, the taste was sour and the ingredient is there, therefore the whole drink is concentrated. Besides, the staff was so nice that he gave a free cheese cake for DD, DD says thanks and she likes your service!

The only nice pictures I got with my baby girl :(

These pictures were taken when bb dropped me home, they look so inseparable I almost got jealous (I'm joking) It was really a wonderful day with both of you loves, and bb's interactions with DD make me fall for him more ahh men who loves animals are really attractive.
Thank you bb for bringing us out, ILY :)

Drama Shooting

This post is going to be about our advanced TV drama shooting and since my friends had contribute a lot in this assignment, I would really like to dedicate this post to them :) you know who you are, Champ Production (yep that's our group name)! We used 4 days to complete our shooting just for a 10 minutes drama! Now I really understand how hard it is to be a movie director as they will get blamed for a bad movie but they will not get compliments for good movies because audience will normally praise the actors/actresses.
Presenting our main female character, Virginia! Thanks for your high cooperation and your bravery in this drama. We were actually shooting for a thriller kind of drama and she was required to be a ghost, she's such a brave girl that she even lay in a hole somewhere in the bushes at night (the killer was supposed to "bury" her).

And we had to spill fake blood on her body as she was "crashed" by a car, so sorry for your skin allergy :(
Thank you once again for doing all this without a word of complaint.

And how funny is that when we were shooting for this scene, some motorists thought that this was a real accident and one of them even when "HUIYO!" And when we were shooting for the part where the killer has to bury her, a car stopped by and asked us what we are doing, as if we are really burying a body lol.

The guy in white is our killer, Chee Ho. Thank you for your great acting skills so that we didn't have to NG for so many times. The one in green is our director, Annie, thanks a lot for your great story and for preparing the fake blood, make up, dropping me home etc and really DEEPLY sorry for leaving your camera all alone in college, luckily it is safe now haha.

Another thank you for the girl in black, Ku (don't call her Li Hua). She's a PR student and was actually asked by Virginia to accompany her cause she was too afraid. Thanks for your company and ensure that Virginia didn't cry, also ty for carrying the sound recorder.

The girl in Starbucks singlet is our videographer/editor, Pauline! Like seriously I couldn't thank you more, you were serious all the time and that scares me XD. You handled all the shots and editing very well and this shooting wouldn't go smoothly without you. So sorry that you have to do most of the editing by yourself.

The girl in black is Ah Na, who helped mainly in lighting but sometimes sound recording as well. Thank you for your time in this shooting even though you were busy for your GAA performance, and also for fetching YY the careless then carless driver. Not gonna thank myself cause I didn't contribute that much compares to all the others. Thank you all for coping with my blurness.

Me with Virginia the short ghost.

Last but not least, thank you all once again for completing this drama as it's not possible without everyone's help. We went through sweats and starvation together, all of us were tired but I'm sure it will pay off cause we are Champ Production! :) Stay tuned for our screening!

30 October 2013

Phantom Fest at Han Chiang College, Penang.

In conjunction with Halloween, PR students from Han Chiang has organized a fund raising event for Sri Cahaya Home, there are a lot of fun activities like photo booth, haunted house, scary boxes and they are also selling t-shirts, candies, and cookies! Lets check'em out!
The event will only last until tomorrow so do support them and help out the orphanage home!

Home made cookies! You can mix and match it with chips, 2 for RM8! To be honest I've already spent RM19 for their event, just thought it would be easier to ask for their help next time teehee.

Assorted candies available in 3 different designs, missed out the last design but just to let you know the candies are wrapped into the shape of a pumpkin, you can really see that they've put in a lot of efforts in packaging!

You can also send warm messages to the orphans, they really need love and need to know that people care about them.

Things I shared and bought with my friend. Yes to charity!

Scary boxes, participants are required to find the items in the boxes within the time given. I know what's in it but NO I'm not gonna tell, are you bold enough to take the challenge? Winners will then go through a lucky draw session and stand a chance to win free ticket into the haunted house!

As I mentioned there is a photo booth and of course lots of ghost faces, props are even provided and they are so COOL, you can choose to have a prop or dialogue boxes as shown above.

Already have them tested before it was officially started.

They have like sword, hammer, chains, spear and ALL of them are hand made!
RM3 for phone photo and RM5 for polaroid photo. I went for the phone TWICE but definitely worth it because I got to take pictures with any ghosts of my choice and I can take multiple pictures until I'm satisfied with my look, face problem that's why :(

Me in wizard hat, how I wish Hogwarts exists T.T and with the ghost I believe she was "burned" to death.

With Pee Mak and witch.

Sexy vampire, I personally think this is how vampires should look like, not freakin twilight lol (sorry twilight fans.....wait, I'm not sorry actually)

Haunted house! Went to support them although I'm really afraid of ghost, horror movies. Again great efforts were put in and my friend and I planned to revisit them again just to see if there's any improvements on the setting.

I'm going to repeat the statement that tomorrow is the last day for this event! Do show your support as they are not earning profit for themselves, money earned will be donated to the orphanage home, you can also support them by donating stuff you don't want like stationery, clothes, food etc. And seriously how often can you see such events in college? Support away aight!
